Zendaya's floral French manicure, an effortless fusion of three trendy nail polishes
You may like Zendaya who appeared in "Hibike! Maybe you like Zendaya from "Euphonium". Maybe you're a fan of Challengers, who wears an "I Told Ya" T-shirt. Maybe you like her dog Noon Coleman's Instagram page (featured in Zendaya Week), or her impeccable fashion sense. But I admire the actress for her dedication to the manicure trend.
For example: from starting the off-season maroon manicure movement to incorporating perhaps the most summer-inspired floral French ever in just one week, Zendaya's nails are a perfect example. The "Dune" star's go-to nail artist, Marina Dobik, got an up-close look at her latest creation on Instagram this week.
In fact, the manicure contains not one, not two, but three major summer nail trends. The bubble bath nail trend, which Meghan Markle also recognized, inspired the base. Painted in a soft pink-white, Zendaya's nails exude elegance and sophistication.
But this manicure is anything but boring. A mix of butter yellow sunflowers gives a nod to perhaps the most popular shade of the year. Priscilla Nguyen, educator and manicurist at Apps Nails, once told me about the color trend, "Butter yellow is trending this year because it's the new nude." 'It doesn't have to be so vibrant, but there's a pop of color.'
Finally, Dobik embraced the backyard bug nail trend that seems to be gaining popularity in the post-Kylie Jenner insect manicure world. Tiny bumblebees and ladybugs landed on Zendaya's nails and swirled with colorful flowers.
Dovich did not take credit for Zendaya's backyard manicure all to herself. In an Instagram caption, she called the look a work of "team work." From this line alone, it is impossible to determine that Tinie Tinie Nail Illustration is another of Zendaya's talents. If you think hand-painting this look at home is a bit far-fetched, I'd recommend nail stickers (guilty as charged). My favorites start below.
