Simone Biles speaks candidly about her experience with "baby Botox"
Simone Biles posted a Get Ready With Me video on TikTok a few days ago, in which she revealed a rather "funny story" about the only time she tried injections.
"On my 27th birthday, I got Botox, like baby Botox, just here in the T-zone.
"When I'm standing up in practice," Biles said, "my eyebrows go up slowly like this. Then [teammates] would say, 'Simon, your eyebrows are going up again,' and I'd say, 'I can feel it.'"
She continued, "It goes back to normal in about 20 seconds. And it happens randomly. So I have no idea, but I can do all the looks now.
Botox (botulinum toxin) injections are generally considered safe, but according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, no cosmetic surgery procedure is completely free of potential side effects.
ASPS cites "temporary facial weakness or drooping" that Biles may have experienced, as well as other potential side effects of Botox injections such as redness, bruising, nausea, or flu-like symptoms.
Of course, anyone considering Botox, Daxify, or any other cosmetic treatment should always consult a board-certified dermatologist or other qualified medical professional to understand the risks before receiving injections.
