Blake Lively becomes queen in a corset gown reminiscent of the 2022 Met Gala.
Actress Blake Lively shows off one of her previous breathtaking Met Gala looks as she continues her fashion-forward "It Ends With Us" press tour.
Before the premiere of her new movie in Copenhagen on Friday, August 9, the Hollywood A-lister and proud mom was photographed in a regal corset gown reminiscent of her look from the 2022 Met Gala.
The Atelier Versace couture gown from the brand's Spring/Summer 2018 collection had a serious queen vibe, as did Lively's 2022 "gilded glamour" Atelier Versace tulle column dress.
For those who don't know, in 2022, Lively wowed Met Gala attendees and onlookers alike when she hit the red carpet in a rust-brown gown embroidered with crystals and leather. While ascending the iconic Met steps, Lively (with help) removed the dress' oversized ribbon, revealing a stunning blue-green train.
Iconic then and now.
Lively has been showing off her authentic flower-power fashion during her whirlwind press tour for the book-to-screen adaptation.
Recently, the actress attended a photocall for the film held at the IET building in London: she wore an oversized, topless white suit with a boxy floral blazer and matching high-waisted wide-leg pants.
Other floral-inspired looks were a tribute to Lively's It Ends With Us character, florist Lily Bloom, and various designers including Vivienne Westwood, Dauphinette, and Christopher John Rogers Featuring peek-a-boo underwear and other rare archival numbers.
For example, Lively wore a vintage Versace gown once worn by the one and only Britney Spears in 2002. (While Lively's outfit was front and center on the film's press tour, the film's subject matter also garnered a great deal of attention.
Justin Baldoni, who is directing and starring in the book-to-film adaptation, recently told People in an exclusive interview that he judges the film's success by "an often unnoticed metric."
"If it's just a huge commercial success, that's one-dimensional. For [production company] Wayfarer Studios, and for myself, the other aspect is ...... It's about one person in a similar situation as Lily."
Baldoni further stated that he hopes that viewers who watch the film will be inspired by the main character, Bloom, to make "different choices for themselves" if they too are facing instances of domestic violence or intimate partner violence.
"[The film] is for people who go to see this movie with their friends and never go home," he explained.
