Britney has unveiled an "updated" version of a memorable Versace gown worn in 2002 and most recently by actress Blake Lively.

On Saturday, August 10, the singer shared a video on Instagram, posing in the so-called new version of the gown she wore to Versace's spring runway show in Milan in the early 1980s.

In a deleted caption, Spears declared that the new dress was an "updated version of a 2002 Versace dress," People reported, adding that she "much preferred" it because the new version "shows my legs."

In the video, the singer wears a much shorter dress featuring the same color and glittery features. She pairs the "updated" version with nude heels.

The singer also disabled the comments section on her personal Instagram account, but it is safe to assume that the debut of the new version was well received.

Recently, during her whirlwind It Ends With Us press tour, Lively wore the same one-shoulder, barely there floral midi gown that Spears wore in 2002. The nude-colored sequins were covered with pink, blue, yellow, and purple flowers.

In a post later shared on Instagram Stories, Lively confirmed that the dress was indeed the same one worn by Spears.

Lively also said in an interview with People that she wore a vintage 2002 gown.

"It's Britney's actual dress," Lively told the magazine at the time. 'It should be in the Smithsonian or the Met Museum. But it's mine. I feel very lucky!"

Coincidentally, or perhaps not, Lively wore the dress shortly after it was reported that a Britney Spears biopic was in the works. Talk about perfect fashion timing!

"[Spears] is the ultimate queen who made us all want to shine, write, and share our stories," Lively said of the iconic pop star.

Lively gave a master class in flower power during her It Ends With Us tour, wearing everything from a regal, flower-inspired corset gown to one reminiscent of her show-stopping 2022 Met Gala look!

It Environ.

Lively, who looked like she was cosplaying her It Ends With Us character, florist Lily Bloom, while dabbling in other rare archival numbers featuring famous designers, barely there trends through peek-a-boo underwear She showed off.

Now, with the revival of Spears' 2002 Versace look, Lively appears to be proving that floral power has no expiration date by inspiring an entirely new floral fit.
