Beyoncé Wears Archival Assless Chaps on New Cover of "Cowboy Carter"

Beyonce recently shifted her focus to Olympic-inspired style, but her cowgirl days are far from over. The "Texas Hold 'Em" singer recently posed for Cowboy Carter's new vinyl cover, and her outfit stayed true to the theme.

This shot, taken by Blair Caldwell, shows a sparkling Beyonce framed by star-shaped flames. Leaning against a golden motorcycle, Beyoncé slips into her favorite western fashion.

Styled by Siona Turini, she wore fringed gloves, a low-cut bodysuit, and flared assless chaps with crimson sparkling rhinestones. And Beyonce, who hasn't been seen without a cowboy hat since 2021, finished with a crystal-studded 10-gallon hat.

In the age of the archive, it was only natural for the singer to draw from past designer collections, in this case those of Thierry Mugler. Beyoncé's outfit first appeared on the runway some 33 years ago in the 1992 Spring/Summer collection "Cow-Boys. The glittering masterpiece, covered in hearts and stars, was dramatic in every sense of the word, known as the Mugler aesthetic.

Even those most distantly associated with the Beehive would still recognize the singer's love of butt-less chaps. Over the past few years, she has made this style an integral part of her horsegirl aesthetic.

In the past year alone, she has worn a metallic silver pair with a gray fur coat and a red, white, and blue leather style (worn with a matching jacket). And, of course, she wears a matching cowboy hat.

If Beyonce had anything to do with it, and she absolutely does, it's that she's a very good friend of Beyonce's.
