I live for the Meghan Markle beauty moments. Whether it's her hair in a classic bun or the appearance of an unusual red lipstick, the beauty editor in me takes great pleasure in learning about the former royal's hair and makeup products. What excites me most, however, is when I zoom in on her manicure. Such was the case with Meghan Markle's recent nail color, which marked a return to a longstanding royal nail trend: on Thursday, August 1, the mother of two appeared in a video interview on CBS Sunday Morning to discuss cyber bullying. For this on-air appearance with Prince Harry, Markle painted her nails a pale pink that perfectly matched her blush-colored Ralph Lauren linen set.

The nude color and slightly pink summer nails are reminiscent of the bubble bath manicure that has been a favorite of the royal family for decades. The combination of muddy pink and white nail polish creates a sleek and sophisticated look. And that is precisely why it is a favorite of Princess Kate and Queen Elizabeth II.
