Kendall Jenner adds an avant-sporty touch to the matching set trend

Kendall Jenner wore a Ralph Lauren jacket to the Paris Olympics as part of Team USA. The next day, when she flipped the course for a matching set of trends, she still managed to operate with a sporty touch in the spirit of the games.

At the dressage team jumping finals on Friday, August 2, Kendall Jenner wore a vintage-inspired skirt set that would make Christian Dior proud. (She wore a checkered gray blazer with a dramatically cinched waist, similar to Dior's iconic bar jacket, with a micro-mini skirt in the same fabric.

Accessories were where the model began to play with juxtapositions and hints of Olympic-appropriate athletic style. Along with her trusty loafers from The Row and a yet unidentified bag, Jenner topped off her outfit with a Ralph Lauren baseball cap.

The team finals of the jumps provided an opportunity for Jenner and stylist Dani Michelle to showcase their high-contrast styling. Kendall Jenner has been riding all her life, and in past interviews she has joked that if she ever competes, she would be a Team USA equestrian.

So far, Kendall Jenner's return to Paris for the Olympics has combined athletic trends with French-girl favorites. The night before embracing the matching coordination trend, Jenner wore a strapless cream dress with slinky heels to dinner.

The matching skirt set move makes perfect sense among the Olympic early fall 2024 trends. Parisian staples like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and of course Dior continue to wear mini-skirt suits on the runway. In Paris, stars such as Sabrina Carpenter are wearing mini plaid skirt suits.

Unlike her June trip to the City of Light, where she went barefoot in the Louvre and matched Bad Bunny in black, Kendall Jenner's current packing list includes plenty of Team USA references. She wore her Simone Biles and goat necklace and her Ralph Lauren closing ceremony uniform of racing jacket and jeans to win gold in the women's overall final. Today's matching set, however, may be more true to her personal style.
