Simone Biles Wins Seventh Gold Medal in "Power Color" Red Leotard with 3,600 Swarovski Crystals

Simone Biles proved once again that she is one of the greatest gymnasts in the history of gymnastics by winning her third gold medal and seventh overall at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

On Saturday, August 3, Biles completed her Olympic "redemption" tour in the final of the women's gymnastics vault.

Biles scored 15.700 points on her first vault, successfully completing Yurchenko's double pike vault (aka Biles II) with a difficulty of 6.400 points; on her second vault, she successfully completed the Chen vault, scoring 14.9 points for an average of 15.3 points and her third podium finish at this competition.

In a seemingly symbolic move, Biles wore a royal red leotard with 3,600 Swarovski crystals in what one commentator called "power colors."

Pennsylvania-based GK Elite Sportswear's Patriotic Poise Replica Tank Leotard is a "symbol of pride and passion," according to its website.

Don't you think it fits the bill?

Biles also won gold in the women's individual all-around and team.

Cecil Land, Biles' coach since 2017, told the press after the U.S. women's team won gold that Biles "wanted to rewrite his story, the end." Mission accomplished.

While Biles collected gold medals in Paris, she has continued to show herself as a mental health advocate, normalizing therapy while competing on the world stage.

In a recent interview with TODAY co-anchor Hoda Kotb for her podcast "Making Space with Hoda Kotb," Biles revealed that she begins her competition days by attending therapy sessions.

"I feel more free, especially going to therapy and having sessions, because it helps me physically and mentally, and I know it's an important part of my routine. She said at the time, "because I know it's an important part of my routine."

Biles also opened up about the anxiety she experiences at the Olympics, primarily when she visits the Olympic Village, where athletes stay and hang out before, between, and after competitions.

In her "Get Ready With me" TikTok video before competing in the women's gymnastics all-around final, Biles revealed that as a result of her strong anxiety, she "didn't do much around the Olympic Village."

"The first day I got here, I went to the cafeteria because a lot of people were asking me nonstop to take pictures," she explained.

"And every time I sat down to eat, my anxiety got so bad I was shaking."

Not once, not twice, but three times at the top of the podium, she normalized her anxiety and mental health care and broke the stigma.
