Serena Williams Transitions from Tennis Fashion Star to Full-Time Style Leader in Louis Vuitton Suit

Serena Williams retired from tennis about two years ago. Now that she has fully transitioned from athlete to beauty brand owner and from court style to street style, Williams has fully entered the fashion phase.

Yesterday, July 25, Serena Williams attended the “Prelude to the Olympics” party at the Louis Vuitton Museum in Paris, wearing a Louis Vuitton ensemble styled by Kesha McLeod. Dressed in an all-black three-piece suit, she paired a tailored vest with a plunging neckline and a blazer fastened with bright white buttons. On the bottom were fitted pants with a subtle flare and shiny satin pointed-toe pumps.

She added a pop of color with a blue and green checked Louis Vuitton mini trunk designed by Pharrell Williams from the Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Also popping were her long platinum blonde hair, which contrasted with her dark suit, and her purple eye shadow.

Williams' recent style has been pink on pink glamour. Late last month, in the front row of the Gucci Men's Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show at Milan Fashion Week, she wore a monochromatic ballet slipper-like pink pantsuit with a matching belt, sheer button-down shirt, and coordinating bra.

A week earlier, Williams sparkled in a sheer pink corset dress, diamonds, and pink jewelry at the Tribeca Film Festival. And in April, for Byrdie magazine's Spring Beauty Issue, Williams was styled in the same shade for a dramatic ballerina look.

Williams' new style era culminated in the 2024 ESPY Awards. Her looks ranged from a custom black gown by Armani Privé to an Elle Woods-esque pink mini-dress by Galia Lahav.

Yesterday's looks also pointed to her pivot away from the feminine silhouettes for which she has become known and toward a more tailored, business-glam aesthetic. And Williams is not the only celebrity experimenting with the “office siren” style. Sabrina Carpenter was recently spotted wearing a checkered skirt suit adjacent to her Clueless, and Ayo Edebiri wore a turquoise blue Bermuda short suit set. Zendaya recently wore a vintage neon green pencil skirt suit set in mu gray to promote Challengers, and Kendall Jenner also buttoned up in an olive double-breasted suit jacket and pleated pants.
