After spending most of July in the Hamptons, Jennifer Lopez is finally back in New York City to the beat of the flashy and luxurious Birkin bag.

Over the past few weeks, the pop star has made her vacation looks noteworthy, from matching Eurocore sets and wedge sandals to sheer Dior dresses and fisherman sandals. Aside from a few errand clothes here and there, her rare Hermes bag was nowhere to be seen.

But Lopez's return to Manhattan on Thursday, July 25, not only marked the end of an era, but also the inevitable return to her usual flamboyant taste in luxury. For her first appearance in the city, Lopez was photographed in Soho heading to Balthazar with her longtime manager, Benny Medina. He wore a white cutout blazer by St. Agni with an oversized silhouette and long slits on the sleeves. A matching white Gucci crop top showed off her toned midriff as she took an evening stroll.

The musician also wore Valentino wide-leg jeans, which she pooled over her sky-high, platform Aquazzura heels.

The “On The Floor” singer accessorized her street-style look with gold gradient aviator sunglasses by Bottega Veneta and her usual silver hoop earrings by Jennifer Fisher. To finish off the look, she added her ultimate signature, a black mini Birkin bag from Hermes that cost $20,000 at a high-end consignment sale.

Lopez's city sighting came shortly after her 55th birthday on Wednesday, July 24, and the “Love Don't Cost a Thing” hitmaker debuted a slew of outfit changes during her milestone birthday, including a double see-through moment. On a morning in the Hamptons, she cycled in a translucent turquoise Dior sundress. After a quick change into a swimsuit for an Instagram post, she finished the evening in a nearly nude Dior couture dress from the brand's Spring 2024 collection.

Amid rumors of a separation from husband Ben Affleck, the multi-hyphenate was full of sartorial surprises during her month-long stay in the East. During this month of “me time,” Lopez transformed from her usual loud and luxe fashion to a quieter, more country-club mom look, turning her signature hard-edged wardrobe style into something all easy and breezy. J.Lo also wore her trusty Birkin bag and went about her day without flaunting it. (She packed her most elite collection for back-to-back moments, but they were never seen as much as her Dior basket bag.)
