Kaia Gerber is bringing back the curtain bangs.
Kaia Gerber is the undisputed It Girl with a style sense as recognizable as her modeling campaign (and famous mother, Cindy Crawford). This summer she made fashion headlines with her summer all-black outfits, bold color combinations, and referential high-low combinations. Now, Gerber is trying to revive the hair trend alongside Y2K graphic T-shirts and ballet shoes. Specifically, she is bringing back the long, early 2000s-style bangs.
Gerber showed off the fresh layered look during a trip to New York City with boyfriend Austin Butler. Come to my house. It is unclear who created this look for her, but the star has worked extensively with renowned hairstylist Guido Palau in the past. She collaborated with him this year on the styling book Hidden Identities.

More than a decade later, Garber has joined the good company: Kate Middleton, Julia Roberts, Gigi Hadid, and Gabrielle Union have all opted for this style since the pandemic, proving that any style will eventually come back in style. On TikTok, the ” Curtain bangs” hashtag has been used over 140,000 times, and the top video below it has been viewed millions of times.
Gerber may have just walked into the theater from her car for a Broadway show, proving that the best easy hairstyle of all time is really a well-planned haircut. The model didn't need to adorn her hair with accessories or flamboyant styling. [Her nostalgic haircut is sure to inspire a curtain fringe renaissance.
