Sarah Jessica Parker gets in on the summer overalls trend with $1,600 crystal pumps

Sarah Jessica Parker has cleverly incorporated the summer 2024 trend into the upcoming season of her hit HBO show "And Just Like That."

While filming the sequel to her iconic TV show "Sex and the City" in New York City on Tuesday, July 2, actress Sarah Jessica Parker wore paint-splattered denim overalls over a white blouse decorated with a vintage subway map.

Designed by Dolce & Gabbana, the blouse highlighted not only the New York subway, but also subway maps of other iconic cities like London and Tokyo.

The show's costume designers, Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago, seem to have taken a cue from the summer 2024 overalls trend, but the duo perfected the summer fit with a pair of Rene Caovilla crystal halter slingback pumps worth $1,660 that Sublimated.

In 2024, overalls became a chameleon-like trend that could be styled up or down depending on the wearer's taste and the event.

As Marie Claire previously reported, Katie Holmes and Olivia Wilde "went for overalls this spring when they wanted to stand out. Holmes paired her overalls with a velvet mary jane and chore coat, while Wilde wore a white tank and peep-toe sandals.

Sophia Ritchie Grainge also leaned into the overall summer trend, relying on military green overalls as part of her summer maternity wardrobe.

Adding lofty style to more subtle looks is par for the course for Carrie Bradshaw, costume designer for And Just Like That, and Sarah Jessica Parker herself, as the show prepares for the upcoming season, with minimalist trends and continues to combine high-end items.

During the filming of a recent dinner date scene, Parker paired an off-the-shoulder denim shirt with trendy khaki capris. She carried a large SJP white tote bag while single-strap black pumps highlighted her TV-worthy look.

Mid-calf length bottoms were another Summer 2024 trend, as the decades-old capri pants, first created by German fashion designer Sonya De Renato in 1948, are making something of a comeback as well as an overall revival Emphasis.

Once popularized by Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, and Marilyn Monroe, capris are now appearing on the A-list of fashion-forward Hollywood like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Emily Ratakowski.
