Cardi B shows off her layered pixie cut and three earrings for the first time
Cutting hair short in the summer may be a bit cliché, but the recurring hair trend is for good reason. Hairstylist Kinda Wright-Horn makes it clear to Marie Claire, "If you don't want to be bothered by your hair, just cut it." Bobs, bixies, and broccoli cuts (yes, they're trendy) are all valid options that make hair dryers and styling easier, but 2024 will likely be the year of the pixie cut trend.
The rapper showed off his new, slightly shaggy pixie cut in an Instagram story on Tuesday, June 25. Not only is it perfectly on-trend, but it suits her style very well. 'Every pixie cut should be versatile,' Lighthorn explains. 'Whether it's a downstyle, spikes, or curls.'
With a little bang and layers on the sides and back, Cardi's style allows for endless styling possibilities. And if there's one thing we know about the "Bongos" singer, it's that she likes to experiment with her looks.
She has tried almost every length, style, and color. Pink, blue, ombre hair. She has even had bangs. In fact, just last week, her hair was butt-length and adorned with more than 25 little coquette-style bows.
But hair inspiration is not the only beauty role model the mother of two has to offer. According to her latest social media post, we can now expect earring content from the creator as well. In her Instagram Stories, Cardi pointed to celebrity body piercer Harrison McCall and said, "I'm here for one thing: to help you look good." Look what he did to me," she laughs."
With that, she turned her ear to the camera and debuted her new upper and lower helix and conch piercings. "Conch means 'bowl' in the middle of the ear," Sarah Lacy, a registered nurse and associate director of piercing research and innovation at piercing studio Rowan, previously told Marie Claire. Like the helix, this part of the ear is composed of cartilage."
I'm not saying you need a pixie cut to get a conch piercing, but Cardi was on to something by combining the two.
