All about "The Bear" Season 3's Surprise Guest Stars Explained

The Bear Season 3 Full Episode Spoilers Ahead On June 26, "The Bear" Season 3 finally arrives on Hulu, ready to answer viewers' biggest question: who will guest star this season?" this comedy set in a restaurant on FX on Hulu, has become as well known for its cameo appearances by well-known stars as it is for its food pornography and the endearing dynamic between chef Carmen "Carmie" Berzat (Jeremy Allen White) and sous chef Sydney Adam (Ayo Edebiri). Season 2's guest stars, in particular, were well-received, and the outstanding flashback episode "Fishes," set at Christmas, featured a bevy of such faces.

Thankfully, Season 3 sees the return of several fan-favorite guests from previous seasons. To keep track of the celebrity faces throughout the 10-episode season, here is a breakdown of The Bear Season 3 guest stars.

The "Community" and "Invincible" star will play Tiffany, the ex-wife of Richie (Evon Moss-Backlash), an extended member of the Belzat family. We first met Tiffany in "Fish." She also appears in the timeline of Richie's current divorce; after one episode of "Fishes," she tells her ex that she is engaged. (More on that engagement later.)

Despite their separation, Tiffany is an essential part of Richie's life as he co-parents their daughter Eva (Annabelle Toomey).

In Season 3, the Oscar-winner reprises her role as Donna Berzat, and the family matriarch helps her daughter when Sugar (Abby Elliott) gives birth in Episode 8. In the Season 2 finale, Donna was still struggling with her relationship with Sugar and Kermie, but her appearance in Season 3 gives hope for the family's future. (The late Michael Berzat, played by Jon Bernthal, also makes regular flashback appearances this season.)

Before the Bear guest-star count reached stratospheric heights on "Fishes," McHale had a brief but pivotal role in Season 1 as a New York chef whose coercive leadership sent Carmie into PTSD. (According to IMDb, the character is literally credited as "NYC Chef.") Since then, as a sign of his insecurity in the Season 2 finale "Friends & Family Night," and through a flashback scene in the first episode of Season 3 when Carmie was a member of the New York restaurant, the "Community" alum haunts Carmie like a ghost every season began to haunt him.

The cameo in episode 5 is everyone's favorite wrestler-turned-actor (sorry, The Rock), answering fans' wishes for more faux appearances. Cena plays Sammy, the brother of Neil Fuck (Matty Matheson), who comes to the restaurant to scrub the floors and hunt them down (or "stalk") their other brother Ted (Ricky Stafieri) for stealing his SD card. Eventually, Sammy gets the password he demands after he tells him about a new strategy to terrorize his family.

After his appearance in "Fishes," the comedian and host of "Everybody's In LA" reprises his role as Stephen, Michelle Berzat's (Sarah Paulson) boyfriend. In Episode 1, Stephen supports Kermie in Michelle's invitation to live with her in New York City, wielding a Febreze. Paulson unfortunately does not appear in the new scene, but she can be seen in a flashback to "Fish."

Oppenheimer star and '90s favorite Hartnett makes a brief appearance in "Bear" as Frank, the fiancée of Richie's (Evon Moss-Backlash) ex-wife Tiffany (Jacobs). He appears in episode 4 when Richie drops off his daughter Eva at Tiffany's house.

When Frank opens the door, her hit song "Long Live" plays in the background. (In season 4, Richie and Frank will duet on "Shake It Off". Episode 1 shows a little more of Karmie working in the kitchen of Ever, the same restaurant where Karmie sent Richie out on stage. We also learn that Chef Terry is the one who sent Carmie to Copenhagen.

The actress from "Family Relations" and "Winning Time" reprises her role from the popular Season 2 episode "Fork," in which she played Jessica, Ever's speedy attendant who teaches Richie how to manage orders and workflow in the kitchen. In Season 3, Jessica returns in a role that continues her mentoring/friendship/whatever with Richie. (2]

After months of speculation (and fan-cam), the Midsomer actor officially returns in Season 3 as Luca, a tattooed pastry chef. Episode 1 even sees him in a one-sided rivalry with Kermie, who helped him improve his skills, as recalled by Marcus (Lionel Boyce) in the previous season.
