The beauty trend of the 00s still holding up

In memory of the trends of the 00's including the beauty of the 00's plenty of us wince. It was time for experiments (chunky highlights, anyone. But it was also one of the boldest and boldest beauty periods in recent history. Especially the Y2K era — where the trends of the 90s and 00s were combined in a stunning fusion — crops up non-stop in popular culture and for good reason. As with the beauty trends of the 90s, plenty of these beauty trends hold up today — if you keep reading, you'll see what I mean.

The best beauty trends ahead of the 00s.

I must admit, the Paris Hilton shirt giggled me. One of the beauty trends from the 00s that I appreciate is that smoky eyes "soften", apply light eyeshadow on the bones of the eyes and apply minimal amount of ma on the eyelashes, which is surprisingly subtle.1

The 00s were a time of great debate about how light "naked" lips are. Many of us are worried that we are getting too close in the direction of "skin color" — which means that our lips have disappeared on our faces. But Kim Kardashian shows how a little gloss and a few liners can help.

The older sister of the "micro-bang" trend (an appearance I didn't particularly care about) was "haphazard bangs.""A little longer, a little more fulfilling, short, faint and uneven bangs allowed us to look a little more casual, but in a sloppy way

Renéezellweger had a very enviable bob (here, a little shorter than her Bridget Jones character). Especially among us whose hair is thin. It has layers, but not excessively, and is relatively easy to maintain. In addition, the side sweep bangs are very chic.

The late Whitney Houston had her own look・ and this light peach alternative, which she often found on the red carpet and on stage with pretty red lips, is such a lovely shade, though. The last 10 years have not been as bright as other iterations and could easily pass as neutral.

At the peak of her America's next top model fame, Tyra Banks always had an evolving evolution of style. I'm not sold to hair, but I love her glittering copper eyeshadow and shiny pink lips. It is bold and deserves a statement, but does not overwhelm her features.

Among our celebrities aged like fine wines, Jodie Foster is at the top of the list. Her chic bob is subtly curled down (giving me a shade of "Rachel"), and her minimal nude makeup gives you a natural glow

00s is a key time in the evolution of Olsen Twins and her transition to a fashion innovator and brand founder (in 2006, she was born in London). It was consistent with a more serious, adult appearance. Therefore, these intense smoky eyes are on the upper and lower eyelids.

You can often find the look of makeup from the 00's because it usually involves edging the entire eye with jet-black eyeliner. But here, thanks to Dido's grayish-blue eyes and the complementary gray eyeshadow on her lid, I think it will work. This may be something you want to try, instead of copy-pasting.

Gwen Stefani, Queen of Alt Rock in the 90s, ushered in a more sophisticated era of beauty in the 00s.Of her choices, this is the look I like best, with her signature red lips, sharp cat eyes, and her trademark platinum blonde mini beehive hair. There are good reasons why she stuck to it.

We loved the nasty updo in the 90s, and it continued rapidly into the next 10 years. What I love about this is that Jennifer Garner is literally at the Oscars. This makes hairstyles work even at the most formal events

I think we forgot how much we loved lip gloss in the 00s.It can often be too shiny, sticky or synthetic, but this rather rosy color by Rachel Bilson is perfect. Bonus points for matching with her colorful earrings (and I choose to ignore the visible brass straps).

Here pregnant Gwyneth Paltrow simply shines. I love her long and luscious hair (and I think the visible roots actually work well here), but what stands out is the deep berry lip color and blush It is very reproducible: the color looks like Clinique black honey, which is almost universally loved. This was probably not the most universal trend (I liked synthetic red shades at the time), but the most iconic redheads, like Gillian Anderson and Julianne Moore, kept the color very subtle. Do not fix things that are not broken, in other words.

When our celebrities channeled old Hollywood, it was a spectacle to watch. (Also, I feel like this is the only context in which very thin eyebrows make sense. Here, Charlize Theron has a modern twist with peach lips and cheeks to match her dress.

Whether this is applied makeup or Helena Christensen's natural tan, it's a good example of our love for bright and vivid blush and we loved blush almost as much as we do now, but this natural flash of the whole face is probably my favorite iteration.

Tina Turner wears a stunning voluminous wig and looks at every inch of the stars with bright red lipstick. This orange-red color has been very popular for 10 years and Turner has become much better looking than when he painted it on his face.

As I mentioned, if you look closely at our hair and make・up in the 00s (especially to our less trend-focused stars), you can see that the incredible Angelina Jolie has spent the last 10 years with very dark hair, and this equally dark cat's eyes (with a large amount of mascara).

Ashley Simpson's platinum blonde hair on the same level on her face probably influenced many of us to become blonde in the 00s. Her makeup is necessarily bold and colorful (because her hair is monochromatic, otherwise it may make her head look flat). This is what I learned the hard way when I dyed my hair bright and blonde.

Light blue is an interesting eye shadow color. In the 90s, we mostly plastered it on our lids and couldn't figure out why it didn't look right. By the 00s, many of us had learned that it would work better in small quantities: here at Heather Graham, with sharp black cat eyes, a little das on the top and bottom lids

Despite the 2000 version Charlie's Angels was released in the fall, but the stars (Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and others) were not. It all looks like he's back from a summer beach vacation. It made sense because it was a cinematic vibe, and I appreciate the synergy.

Deep, Navy eyeshadow was, apparently, all the rage among high school students and celebrities—and Kirsten Dunst has the right kind of youthful insouciance to pull it off. This is very giving me the vibes "I did my makeup and I look great" here.

I really loved it, even though the 00s headband was pinching the sides of my head badly. Christina Milian's this is so sparkly that you notice it, but not so thickly studded that it distracts you. Headband: Y2K trends We're glad to be back.

Another 1 old Hollywood throwback, these wide-brimmed curls of Reese Witherspoon are pure joy. If you are not used to it, Witherspoon was quite familiar with her long blonde hair, so whenever she cuts it, it is perfectly this is a classic for a reason.

How little makeup Julia Styles has here is tickled pink by. It seemed very consistent with her personality — she has always felt cool down to earth in an approachable way. This could have been the beauty look I emulated the most on that day.

Crimping can sometimes see the top in a bad way (just ask Monica from a friend.A little loose and uneven curls, like Mischa Barton, feel sweet and refined.

Not everyone can pull off a dramatic silver ball gown, but Naomi Campbell makes it look easy. Silver and black eyeshadow brings the look together without distractions. It wasn't the last time to see silver on the red carpet, but it's one of the best developments.

Even though Sarah Jessica Parker doesn't naturally have curly hair, the Sex and The City stylist made Carrie's wild hair an important part of her character. It was wild, it was nasty, it was gorgeous, just like her. (Our curly-haired girl was hoping that we could pull off the same vibe.

In the 00s it often went from "glowing" to "glowing", but Gisele Bundchen knows how to add a little highlighter without going overboard, with some shine on her cheekbones, nose and forehead, so she looks not greasy, warm and relaxed.

Pink was a popular color in the 00s, but perhaps my favorite iteration was on Missy Elliott: She looked as a "super feminine" color because she was cool and edgy, and also her lip gloss is perfect.

Messy parts and even messy hair: Kate Moss had an excellent effect. Moss's festival style was an important part of the 00s (she can be seen in wellies and shorts marching through the grass at Glastonbury

Julia Roberts' very short skirt and tight tops are actually based on the real Erin Brockovich wardrobe). We had a lot of fun, but watching Roberts as Brockovich kick all sorts of legit asses with skunk—highlighted curly hair, light eyeshadow, and the lowest low-cut tops affected the rest of us in the best way.
