"Bodkin" Season 2: Everything we Know

Netflix's new series Bodkin is the latest fictional show about the creation of a true crime podcast; a comedy thriller star who thinks only of murder in the building but is set in Ireland and produced by Which Higher Ground (aka the company of Barack and Michelle Obama) is based in Gilbert Power, a small town in Bodkin. Solving a decades-old mystery in a small town It is Dove (Siobhán Cullen), a cynical print journalist who thinks the podcast is not a real report, and Emmy (Robyn Cara), an avid researcher who is helping him make the podcast.

Over its 7 episodes, Bodkin sucks you into its fictional mysteries (yes, both the plot and the town are fictional), as it becomes clear that many of the town's residents don't want anyone to pry about. The truth behind all the secrets will be revealed by the end of the final episode — but that doesn't necessarily mean the series won't return. Here's everything we know so far about possible Bodkin Season 2.

There was no news of the possibility of an update yet, but it was only a short time since the series fell to streaming. Bodkin has been steadily sitting in the top 5 on Netflix since the show's 9th premiere, and even if released following the success of its recent hit show, Baby Reindeer or A Man In Full, and Netflix's popular Netflix is a joke comedy festival.

So far, the best clue we have about the possibilities of Bodkin Season 2 is that the show is billed as ongoing, not a limited series. Still, fans may have to wait a few more months' worth of ratings to hear about the thriller's future.

By the end of Season 1, the podcast will reveal the truth about the mystery that first brought them to Bodkin — the disappearance of three people during the Gaelic festival Samhain 25 years ago. They also include an international eel smuggling ring that allows them to piece together all of the mess they find during their stay. (I don't spare any details of exactly what's going on in Bodkin's finale, but eel smuggling is actually a lucrative, harmful underground business that Europol is working on to crack down on.

We learned the fate and identity of three people who went missing during Samheim, but there is one modern character whose fate was left in the air. Seamus Gallagher, the smuggler of Jackie McFadden, was in the explosion of an eel truck that took one of Sean's thumbs, but his death was not confirmed and did not appear on the screen either. Did his rival McArdles finally catch up with him, or did he (probably) run away to encounter the podcast trio again in the future

As for the main trio, their roles will be reversed by the end of the series. Gilbert decided to dump the podcast they were working on into the trash and get a job outside of the podcast industry, but Emmy uses the bit of assertiveness she learned from Dove to get a job on Dove's old report in The Guardian. Dove, on the other hand, becomes the podcaster herself, meaning there is still a way forward for a former print reporter to investigate a new mystery and enlist the help of her old colleagues in the process.

If Bodkin turns into a mystery season-by-season series, only the main podcast trio could return. This includes Will Forte (Gilbert Power), Siobhan Cullen (Dove) and Robin Cara (Emmy). It is also among some Bodkin conspicuous showing this theme, at least quickly Hi; especially for Chris Wally (Sean O'Shea) and David Wilmot (Seamus Gallagher/Jack McFadden) fingers crossed. It's hard to say who we'll see again if they take their investigative reports elsewhere, but certainly more intriguing suspects will be introduced
