Makeup by Mario SoftSculpt Bronze & Shaping Serum can do three beauty tasks at once?
Does the world need any more bronzers' editors whose job is to test products for life, I ask myself this question every day. Innovations in pigments and delivery have left us with 142 options at sephora, 144 at Ulta, and 143 at nordstrom — most with a wide range of shades, undertones and finishes. In such a saturated market, a new launch needs to be intentional. It needs to be an additive. You need to fill in the blanks. Mario Dedivanovic set out to do just that with his new SoftSculpt bronzing and shaping serum.
Colored serums are abundant — let's not make fun of ourselves. But with a new pump meet-in-the-market wand applicator, the multi-purpose design aims to create a user-friendly experience. 1 small product has 3 applications: it functions as a dyed, overall base, is applied as a contour or as a sculptural bronzer, and combine it with your moisturizer or foundation and use your fingers or brushes — meaning it is a rule-free and intuitive product. Think about it: bronzer for beginners. "It's important to me to continue to innovate in the bronze, sculpture and contour categories," says Mario's founder's make-up, which he shares exclusively with MC. "It's our softest for anyone who wants to explore contouring, but doesn't know where to start, or those who love natural-looking definitions."
5/15 (and 5/16)にSephoraアプリで発売される7つのスキンケア注入された色合いMakeupbyMario.com It didn't take much convincing to get the Marie Claire team to help me test this launch - it's ahead of us, four editors wear bronze & shaping serum in every way imaginable and share their honest reviews.
Any product that claims to perform "just-off-the-beach glow" or "healthy radiance" makes my face look a completely different shade than my neck or is great on camera but scary to people, so I'm wrong because I assumed the same fate would befall me in makeup by Mario's SoftSculpt Bronzing & Shaping Serum. It was a nice surprise to have proven that it was a good idea.
Maybe it was because of my innate skepticism, but I decided to apply this under my foundation to prevent (hopefully) ruddy results. I used a pump on my hand to massage the product into my skin. The shade "Light" looked stunning under Charlotte Tilbury's perfect filter, although the pasty self was a bit too dark to wear as it is. It did not actively dominate my complexion, but provided a super subtle bronzer shade. That success prompted me to twist the pump, grab the doe-foot applicator and outline my face - just a hint.
The formula blended easily and left an incredibly diffused definition along my forehead and cheekbones. There were no harsh lines (downfall of my constant contours) or heavy patches. I even got completely hooked and applied some more products with a fluffy brush. The finish is never intense, so I don't necessarily reach it for a full gram, but it's calm, all
we can give a round of applause for the shine'I usually keep my makeup pretty light and use these bronzers to make my hair shine. Seamlessly integrates into my regimen and strengthens my skin that is the best part.
The lightweight and sheer formula can be added to my lighter foundation during the summer or applied to the middle of my cheekbones for added definition. Don't believe me 'look at my face and see for yourself.
My serotonin levels are correlated with sunlight — both in how much I see the sky and in how it gives my skin the glow of the sun kissed. But after months of dark and gray New York City skies, with rainy spring weather still before us, I knew it was time to take matters into my own hands. So, when the MC team was asked to test their make-up by Mario's Bronzing SoftSculpt Bronzing & Shaping Serum, I jumped at the opportunity to manufacture a tan. If I can't post on the beach for hours, slathering my face in the sunshine in a bottle is the next best thing.
I chose a fair shade and applied the product after my moisturizer and before my foundation, using it as a glowing base to build on. I then applied my usual highlighter and blush combo, but skipped my standard bronze powder to see how the SoftSculpt serum stood on its own
Indeed, the end result wasn't as bronze and golden as I wanted (with my excessive imagination, I didn't seem to be on day 4 of a seaside vacation). But my face reflected an undeniable dew finish that gave me enough spikes of serotonin, with a consistent addition to my daily morning routine and
after years of loading my cheeks with shades that weren't right for me, I'm trying to get back to bronzer. The new makeup by Mario Bronzer is the perfect tool — it is transparent to my skin, constructible and virtually undetectable. I have dry skin and some cream products tend to stick to drier patches around my nose, but this light, almost gel-like
it played well with my normal foundation and didn't budge throughout the day. It is recommended not to apply a ton at a time, but a light layer. The hidden doe-foot applicator was perfect for this application style because I was able to control the amount of product applied at each step.
