"Bridgerton" Season 3 Part 2: Everything We Know
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1. After 2 years, Bridgerton Season 3 finally came out on Netflix on 5/16. The latest installment of the Regency era romance brings Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) love stories to the forefront ahead of the book's schedule, giving fans the looming secrets of Penn's secret career as Lady Whistle Down. It's giving a classic friend-to-lover story that's amplified by the fact that it's a story about a woman who has a crush on a man who has a crush on a woman who has a crush on a man. But fans who enter Season 3 immediately after release will have fewer episodes to stream than the typical Bridgerton season.
The streaming giant has decided to keep the hype for the mega-hit series (as if it needed any help) by releasing its latest work for more than a month. This includes ending the part 1 drop with a major cliffhanger (and a fan's favorite moment from the book). Bridgerton Season 3 is split in half and each episode consists of Parts 1 and 2. Unfortunately, we will have to wait 1 month for the resolution of Pauline's love story. Part 1 of Bridgerton Season 3 focuses on Penelope and Colin finding their way to each other, as the youngest Featherington daughter is serious about finding a husband. He gets on with his life and as the latter helps her learn how to flirt— while realizing that he wants her for himself. After some hefty sexual tension and 1 minor social scandal, Penelope is ready to accept a marriage proposal from Lord Devling (Sam Phillips), but Devling breaks her off when she realizes she has feelings for Colin. (Justice for Lord Devling, he was great.Episode 4 ends with the infamous carriage make-out scene from the book, then Colin finally asks, "For God, Penelope Featherington." are you going to marry me?"
If Part 1 ends with such a suggestion, part 2 could begin immediately after Penelope's answer. (Although we would be surprised if it was anything other than Jesus.That means they have to deal with all the joy and drama that comes with the engagement — which may further strain Penelope's friendship with Eloise (Claudia Jesse). Colin still has revenge against the mystery author, so Penelope needs to explain.
On the other hand, there are also all the subplots that make Bridgerton a true ensemble show. Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) is still at the Marriage Mart, and Mom Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemel) in seeing where her courtship with John Sterling (Victor Ali) will go for the rest of the season is to see Mrs. Danbury's brother Marcus (Daniel Francis). I have an affair that I have built up with. (She admitted to Queen Charlotte that she is ready for love again!)
Showrunner Jess Brownnell has confirmed in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) will return from their extended honeymoon in a new episode. We can hope that this month will go soon!
