Last night, the 42-year-old attended the Richie Akiva x Ray Ban "The After" Met Gala celebration at Casa Cipriani. For the event, Williams incorporated a nearly nude look in a white crocheted mini dress. The short-sleeved knit dress was loose-fitting and decorated with a circular mesh pattern and round reflective mirrors. Credit for Williams' bold look has yet to be revealed by her stylist, Kesha McLeod.

With the help of stylist Kesha McLeod, Williams wore a chunky crocheted number with a chocolate brown ribbed bralette and nude colored briefs peeking out from underneath. She also opted for silver metallic pumps embellished with white florals.

While Williams' after-party outfit combined comfort and style, she was a gilded goddess at the official Met Gala event. The famous athlete interpreted the Garden of Time theme in a one-shoulder gold metallic gown by Balenciaga. She accessorized her ensemble with a custom gold floral headpiece by Jennifer Baer, a cuff bracelet, an array of gold rings, and black opera-length gloves.

Not only did Williams endorse the beloved crochet trend ahead of summer, but her revealing minis pioneered the world of controversial semi-sheer styles. The tennis pro was not the only star to try the practically naked look at the Met Gala and subsequent after-parties.
