The work jacket craze started around 2018, subsided a bit with the pandemic, and rekindled last year. As the weather warms up and puffers are being kept in the closet, girls are once again trying on burn jackets for spring. And who better than Kendall Jenner, known for creating and following many trends, to prove that this practical trend is captivating cool girls all over the world.

Jenner was spotted over the weekend at Stagecoach (country music's answer to Coachella on the same festival grounds) wearing not one but two Carhartt utility jackets. On Friday, she wore a beige Carhartt zip-up jacket with black jeans and black leather heeled boots for an understated look. For accessories, she kept it casual with a navy and gray baseball cap and simple silver drop earrings.

The next day, Jenner changed into the same outfit with a different color scheme. She wore a black Carhartt jacket, tan workwear straight-leg pants, and black leather booties.

The different work jackets for each day of the week is not surprising given the item's surge in popularity. Searches for the classic Carhartt jacket jumped 410% to rank fifth on Lyst's list of hottest products for the first quarter of this year. [The work jacket trend has been widely seen at contemporary heritage brands like J.Crew, Toteme, Everlane, Alex Mill, and Barbour, and has even appeared on the runways of Prada and Fendi.

This laid-back look fits perfectly into Jenner's recent wardrobe, which is filled with oversized coats and boot-cut jeans. She and her stylist Dani Michel are experimenting with more tailored, office-appropriate outfits, but this casual aura has remained consistent throughout Jenner's street style history.
