How to see Met Gala 2024
With the first Monday in May just around the corner, the biggest red carpet of the year, the Met Gala 2024, is almost upon us. As the biggest names in fashion and entertainment from all walks of life run up the steps of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, casual fans can, God willing, follow the evening online while dressed in their most comfortable clothes and playing fashion critic.

The theme of this year's benefit, a fundraiser for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is "The Garden of Time." Inspired by the Costume Institute's "Sleeping Beauty" exhibit: the dress code calls for "ephemeral beauty," looks inspired by historical pieces that have been forgotten over time, and lots of "melancholic florals." and hopefully some eco-conscious designers.
Luxury guests include Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth as co-chairs. Rihanna has also announced her attendance, and keep an eye out for Anne Hathaway, Beyonce, Blake Lively, the Kardashian Jenners, and other celebrities wearing the best Met Gala dresses of all time TikTok is sponsoring this year's event along with Loewe, so more than ever more social media stars may be on the carpet.

The 2024 Met Gala will take place on May 6, 2024 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The red carpet will begin at 6 pm EST (3 pm EST), but early attendees will begin arriving as early as 5 pm EST (2 pm EST).
The Met Gala 2024 will be live streamed on Vogue.com and social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
