Anja Taylor-Joy Wears the Most See-Through and Spiky Gown at "Furiosa" Premiere

The past year or so has been the best year ever for Method Dressing. Margot Robbie took Barbiecore to new heights with the hit movie "Barbie". Zendaya invented a new wardrobe category with her promotion of "Dune" and "Challengers. More celebrities are pulling out all the stops, including Anya Taylor-Joy, who is on a press tour for the upcoming "Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga."

On May 2, actress Anya Taylor-Joy attended the premiere in Sydney, Australia, in a look that literally turned heads from Paco Rabanne's Spring/Summer 1996 collection. Her gown, by a designer who often draws inspiration from a fusion of galaxies and couture, was a gold mini-dress adorned all over with gold beads and crystals.

The embellishment created a see-through net effect, and Taylor-Joy wore nothing underneath. Her look was also adorned with long arrows that protruded below her waist. (Styled by Ryan Hastings, Taylor-Joy's look was matched with the designer's headpiece and metallic silver sandals.

For the red carpet, A-listers have always gravitated toward method dressing. However, in recent years, and most notably last year, the concept has taken a more costumey route. Anja Taylor-Joy is no newcomer to the thematic world. Recently, the 28-year-old, who played Aria Atreides in the "Dune" sequel, performed several dystopian-inspired ensembles on the press circuit.

Taylor-Joy's latest look comes ahead of her new film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, a prequel to Mad Max: Death Road to Rage. The actress plays Imperator Furiosa, a squadron leader in the apocalyptic universe of "Wasteland" who is on a journey home.

"I wanted something that would challenge my body and soul, and it definitely did," she told Entertainment Weekly about playing her character.

"It surprised me. What I thought would be difficult was really easy, and what I thought would be easy was actually very difficult."

Taylor-Joy's Furiosa style is heating up ahead of the film's May 24 release. With only two weeks left in the press tour, we look forward to seeing the actress on the red carpet. More edgy dystopian (and archival) fashion, please!
