Angel Reese's 2024 WNBA Draft Outfit Proves She's Already a Fashion Pro

Angel Reese's professional basketball career just started with tonight's 2024 WNBA Draft. Real fans know that her "orange carpet" look is already another sign of perfect off-the-court style.

Dressed by Vogue editor Naomi Elyse, the former LSU Tigers forward arrived at the 2024 WNBA Draft in a slinky, hooded gown by New York-based designer Bronx & Vanco. Reese's look featured black and silver fabric that flowed from neckline to floor like liquid metal.

Reese is known in the NCAA as "Bayou Barbie" for her doll-like eyelashes, custom manicures, and every fashion sense. Naturally, she had no intention of benching her styling habits for draft night.

Reese enlisted celebrity nail artist Angie Aguirre for a French manicure with black tips and small ribbon embellishments. She worked with Essence Martin to create a custom set of diamond-lined grills.

Reese's gown also showcased her fashion expertise. Hooded gowns have re-emerged as a red carpet trend, with celebrities from Bella Hadid to Janelle Monae to Laura Harrier incorporating 70s-inspired scarfed dresses over the past year. (Designers like Saint Laurent and Alaia are big proponents of the look.)

The fusion of fashion and sports is nothing new for Reese. She announced her plans to enter the 2024 WNBA draft in a Vogue interview that included a photo shoot featuring outfits from Wales Bonner, Valentino, and Diesel. Whatever team she signs with tonight, expect a season full of designer-filled tunnel walks.
