Kendall Jenner's navy suit and orange bag are a lesson in color theory
Kendall Jenner is no stranger to classic suits. But she is always looking for subtle ways to elevate her closet staples. This time around, she seems to be taking fashion's favorite neutral, all-black, and turning it into a surprising but complementary color scheme.
While out in Beverly Hills on Wednesday afternoon, Jenner tried an understated shade of navy in the form of a belted suit. It was the ideal canvas for working the pop-color theory of her tangerine-orange work bag.
The 28-year-old supermodel's office-chic look included an oversized wraparound blazer, which she belted high on the waist and wore with loose-fitting slacks. Her outfit was assembled by longtime stylist Dani Michelle, who shared it with her followers on Instagram.
Jenner styled her suit with shiny leather shoes and gold accessories. But the best showpiece was Bottega Veneta's bright orange $4,600 Carimero Città bag. The silhouette featured Bottega's signature woven texture, top handle, and exaggerated tassel detailing.
The model's bright orange bag is not yet available online, but similar lighter shades are currently in stock.
As a seasoned pro at this point, Jenner's recent outfits are a master class in effortlessly elevating regular workwear silhouettes with one-step styling hacks. Over the years, the Kardashian star has joined a long list of style stars who have incorporated everything from workwear blazers and pants to unexpected twists into their daily wardrobes.
Of course, the model can stick to just the basics: in February, Jenner put another high-fashion spin on an office-inspired classic. While at Sushi Park in Los Angeles, she incorporated her perfect outfit formula: trench coat, pants, and pointed-toe heels.
Jenner may be a minimalist to the core, but she is always finding fresh takes on timeless styles.
On Wednesday, the supermodel paired two unexpected silhouettes: a workout set from Alo Yoga and black ballet flats from The Row.
Jenner proves that unexpected outfit combinations really do work. In addition to extreme silhouettes like the ballet flats and workout set, she predicts that this year's color combinations will be the last thing anyone expects.
