Kylie Jenner Celebrates Latest Brand Launch with Leather and Latex
[and Kylie Jenner has several latex and jersey knit little black dresses in her closet.Yesterday, the model and mogul drove from store to store in a branded food truck to celebrate the launch of her new canned vodka soda, Splinter, and signed a variety pack with a silver Sharpie. But her businesswoman's fashion was more akin to a members' nightclub than a boardroom or liquor store.
First, Jenner wore a black bodycon mini-dress with a turtleneck and long sleeves. Jersey material hugged her iconic curves, and a wide, almost skirted patent leather belt (think Diane Keaton meets futuristic space station) draped over her hips. Black sandals with strappy heels tied around her ankles completed the look.
The dress was brought straight from the Ferragamo runway for the Spring/Summer 2024 Women's Collection presented at Milan Fashion Week last September.
Jenner then changed into another little black dress. She wore alien-looking transparent, flesh-colored latex slingback heels. As an accessory, she carried a splinter can of grapefruit (of course).
Jenner has recently embraced an all-black wardrobe, starting with her new clothing line Khy. The brand launched last November in all-black monochrome. Subsequent collections have largely stuck to this color story, with slight nods to Jenner's other neutral colors, including gray, white, red, and, of course, mesh. The star is so enthusiastic about this look that she even wears LBDs for daytime errands.
Khy's first drop, co-designed with Nan Li and Emilia Pfohl of Berlin brand Namilia, reflected Jenner's 'King Kylie' 2010s." This is really important to me. To me, King Kylie is less about what you wear and more about how you felt during that era. I was confident, free, and I didn't care what anyone said," Jenner told Vogue.
"I'm always experimenting with my style and I'm always switching things up."
