Oscar Night finally arrived in Hollywood, meaning that the film industry's a-list brought their tailoring A game to the red Carpet. The looks to date have run a gamut from simple and sophisticated to absolutely over・the・top, but actress Gabrielle Union has created the look in collaboration with her Ka

Union, a longtime stylist, Thomas Christos Kikis. Completely custom gowns are not new at this time in the awards season, but the Union custom gowns had a unique start: it began as two separate pieces. Both works come from Herrera's pre-fall 2024 collection. The strapless peplumed top of the union dress is a mini dress in its own right, while the column-style bottom was originally a maxi skirt style style with a crisp white button-down shirt in the collection. 

As if the dress wasn't sparkly enough, the Union accessorised her gown with Tiffany's statement-making necklace and ring. And I chose a pair of black satin platform heels from Stuart Weitzman.

The Union chose a simple Oscar beauty look to offset the show-stopping gown. Her hair was pulled back into a sleek high bun, and her skin was simple and glowing. The full, fluttering lashes and pale pink matte lip color perfectly complete the look.

The Union is accompanying her husband, basketball player Dwyane Wade, for tonight's big event. Wade is the executive producer of Little Rock's Barber, which tonight was nominated for Best Documentary Short category. Wade wore a Versace black and white tuxedo on the occasion. Wade's look complimented his wife's gown with a subtle brooch on this collar. The duo must win the award for the best dressed couple.
