The 2024 Academy Awards brought some gorgeous beauty looks — lots of peach lipstick, a handful of top knots, and the occasional side part. All in all, it is timeless, sophisticated, and simple. Star 'Lupita Nyong'o breaking the mold.

This year marked a full decade since Nyong'o took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance 12 years Slave— and she's the festive universal

Black Panther star arrived on the red carpet with a head-to-toe glow. It wasn't just the handiwork of subtle shimmer or some cleverly applied body makeup. Instead, Nyong'o committed entirely to the cause of the glitter, chunky silver spots were thrown across her hair, on her cheekbones, and on her shoulders

Aside from the glitter, Nyong'o's remaining beauty appearance was designed to emphasize her natural beauty. "I wanted to create something with a lot of shine and texture," hair stylist Vernon François shares with Marie Claire.

"I meticulously followed a series of steps to enhance her natural coils and make sure her appearance remained flawless through high-profile events," Francois said. He used several Matrix products, including Matrix's Vavoom Extra Hold Freezing Hairspray, to "keep all the elements of the hairstyle in place and long-term without compromising the overall shine and vitality of the hair"

When it came to make-up, a quiet place: Day One Star collaborated with Go-to make-up artist Nick Burrows. We cooperated. He used only Chanel make-up products to create the appearance of Nyongo. Key: Ulta Le Tient to provide a soft matte finish.
