True fashion fans know that the Oscar red Carpet is where notable looks begin on the night of the Academy Awards. After the awards ceremony, the stars headed to the annual Vanity Fair after the party, where the a-list attendees were arguably the boldest outfits of the night. While trends are expected to emerge on the vast red carpet (see almost naked floral patterns, mermaid tones and sheer dresses that can hardly be counted as clothes), we rarely see celebrities actually matching up. But 2 styles of darling Kim Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski appeared on the red carpet in almost the same dress.

Emily Ratajkowski was one of 1 of the early guests who arrived at the post・Oscar event in Beverly Hills. On this occasion, the supermodel wore a sculptural gown that represents the Spring/Summer 2024 collection of Jacques Muses. 

The Long White Ensemble is one of the label's bridal looks and was first unveiled in southern France on May 1, 1. The dress wore a sans veil and featured a flowing, tulle train that falls right behind. The strapless square bodice was made to an asymmetrical angle, which at first glance seemed to float off of her body.

The 32-year-old supermodel kept her glamour to a minimum by wearing only dangling diamond earrings. Her brunette hair was in loose waves and her makeup featured a matte nude lip.

As specific as Ratajkowski's outfit was, you'd think she was the only one to choose a gown like that. But soon after her arrival, Kim Kardashian made her way to the event. In a break from Kardashian's usually maximalist red carpet approach, the reality TV star instead went for a more subdued, sculptural dress with a wondrous resemblance to Ratajkowski's.

like Ratajkowski, Kardashian's new iteration features a strapless bodice with a pointed sculptural neckline. It was a great experience for me. The dress also fit at the waist, and the skirt made a small train at her feet. 

The Kardashian star also opted out of statement accessories, with the exception of classic diamond studs and diamond rings. She finished the look with a pointed black heel that was almost invisible.

In terms of beauty, she wore dark, smoky eyeshadow and full neutral lips, her hair cascading down her back in loose waves.

Kardashian and Ratajkowski's "accidental twin" moments may be just a coincidence, but their after-party routine is a bit of a surprise. Both are likely to foreshadow a new era of red carpet dressing.
