Brief Recap: The 2017 episode followed Daly (Jesse Plemons), a socially awkward programmer who co-founded the popular multiplayer online game but felt unrecognized and belittled by his colleagues. Vindictive Technology Wiz took away his toxic frustrations by stealing the DNA of his colleagues, creating digital clones of them, and trapping sensory avatars in Star Trek-like simulations where Daly is basically Captain Kirk. Arguably the best episode of the series so far (sorry, San Junipero hive) ends with a digital crew escaping Daly's servers and going out for an open game.

The sequel to the USS Callister also means that members of Black Mirror's a-list cast can guess what to return to Season 7. I mean. Actors who made it live from the original episode include Christine Milioti, Michaela Cole, Jimmi Simpson, Billy Magnussen, Milanka Brooks, Ossie Ihele and Paul G. Raymond. There were also voice cameos from Aaron Paul (as Gamer691) and Kirsten Dunst (as an employee of Random Callister), but their return is lower.
