Gigi Hadid is dressing up her daily errands. The supermodel - whose off-duty attire usually consists of scruffy jeans, sweat suits, and long jackets- opted for an unexpected pairing of athletic leggings and platform loafers yesterday in New York City.

Hadid wore an all-black dress with a cashmere label, a Guest-in-Residence knit sweater under an oversized blazer. For the bottom, I chose shiny lycra leggings, crisp white stocky crew socks and loafers with subtle chain details. Hadid accessorised with her dependable Miu Miu bowling bag, oval sunglasses and, of course, her sleek, fresh-cut bob. On the front of the jewelry, Hadid, by BonBonWhims, wore earrings shaped like soda pop tabs covered with microwave crystals. The label has made several appearances on the run of Hadid's errands in the past.

Hadid is no stranger to business-casual separation, and she has never gone away from moments of athletic ability. Allo leggings are always used in Hadid's street style looks. It's this particular leggings-Loafer combo that's the first for the model— a workout staple suddenly feels much more appropriate for, well, everywhere,

Hadid's high-low outing comes after the model was spotted enjoying a Vanity Fair Oscar-winning show with boyfriend Bradley Cooper. Instead, she flew back to New York for a last-minute job duty. And ultimately, it's about changing everyone's expectations for what leggings can do.
