Whether at the movies or on the red carpet, there is no better date than a mother-daughter date. In addition to the pleasure of spending time with someone who knows you so well, you may find yourself asking, "Are you related? While Reese Witherspoon and Eva Phillippe will probably never be asked such a question (no doubt the two share the gene pool), it's still a treat to see them out together, and on Sunday, January 14, they looked even more alike than usual, arm in arm On Sunday, January 14, they walked the red carpet at the Critics' Choice Awards looking even more alike than usual, arm in arm.

Certainly, there were obvious differences in their charms - Philippe's mid-part blonde hair was styled in soft waves, while Witherspoon's was sleek and straight. But the similarities were more obvious. Coral lips! Smoky eyes! What's more, they have the same face.

Celebrity makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan Fisher used Ilaria beauty products to create Witherspoon's look. First, she applied the new The Base Face Milk. The rest of the complexion featured Bright Start Activating Eye Cream, Super Serum Skin Tint SPF40, and True Skin Serum Concealer, plus a little blush courtesy of a peachy pink "Whisper" multi-stick.

For the main event, she went for a "warm smoky eye" using three colors from the "Warm Nude" Necessary Eyeshadow Palette: "Cocoon," "Lineup" and "1979." On the lips, "Cinnabar" color block lipstick ("gorgeous deep coral" according to the artist).

As for the outfits, they both opted for a strapless look, Philippe in Monique Lhuillier and Witherspoon in Celine. And we don't (yet!) have a breakdown of Philippe's makeup. Not that she has any, but she certainly took a cue from her mom and applied a similar warm smoky eye-the easy choice since they have the exact same eye color-and a bright lipstick for just a day or two.

"It's the best 'date' ever!" the 24-year-old commented on her mother's Instagram post. Regardless of whether she was talking about Reese Witherspoon or her mother in general, she was right.
