Ali Wong's Makeup Artist Used This Incredible Bronzer Hack for Emmy Glamour
The red carpet at the Emmys is always full of phenomenal beauty looks (check out our favorites from the night here!) ), the best place to see behind-the-scenes makeup hacks, tips, and tricks is in the hotel room before the show. That's because make-up artist Danielle Martin has shared her glamorous session with beefy actress and Emmy nominee Ali Wong with Marie Claire. Using Dior's new Rouge Dior Lipstick, shade #300 Nude Style as the perfect contour.
"Before setting your complexion with powder, take the lipstick and use it to cross-hatch from the tube to the area you want to contour. After contouring, blend with a foundation brush". A makeup professional shared exclusively with us. 'Once I get the look I want, I either finish with a matte bronzer or a translucent powder! I did both on Ali."
Of course, flawless bronzer was not the only element that defined Wong's gorgeous glamour for the evening. Her eye makeup, in a graphic blue gradient, truly stole the show. Says Martin, "I wanted to take inspiration from her dress and create a blue gradient while adding a twist to her straight, smoky eye."
"This created a fun moment through Ali's glasses, but didn't create much drama with her makeup."
To finish off Wong's stunning look for the big night (my fingers are crossed she takes the stage later this evening), Martin topped off her pout with a swipe of the same exact product that doubles as - you guessed it - bronzer. He explains, "It's the newest lip from Dior, and it offers around-the-clock comfort." The texture is smooth with a velvety matte finish. If this perfect peachy pink isn't your cup of tea, there are 68 shades to choose from.
