Lindsay Lohan Chooses Old Hollywood Glamour for "Mean Girls" Premiere

Last night saw the unveiling of the new Broadway musical adaptation of "Mean Girls" (the musical is an adaptation of the 2004 film "Mean Girls," based on the book "Queen Bees and Wannabes" by Rosalind Wiseman). The film stars contemporary pop darlings Rene Rapp, Angaleece Rice, and Chris Briney. While all eyes were on the up-and-coming mega-stars, a veteran actress of "Mean Girls" made an appearance on the red carpet that caught everyone's attention: Lindsay Lohan.

Lohan, who recently stepped back into show business after a several-year hiatus from acting, played the role of Cady Heron in the 2004 version of the film. Her iconic role cemented her place in pop culture and made her surprise appearance last night all the more exciting. She posed with Tina Fey, who wrote and starred in both versions of the film.

On the beauty front, Lohan exuded Old Hollywood glamour. Her signature long red hair was gently wavy, with volume on top in a 1940s style and a dramatic side part that fell to her waist. Meanwhile, she wore dramatic cat-eye eyeliner and heavy, squinty black lashes. Because her smoky eye was so dramatic, her other makeup was understated, with a delicate pink blush on the apples of her cheeks to complement her delicate peachy pink lipstick.

Lohan's makeup was in line with the current peachy trend brought about by Pantone's 2024 peachy trend predictions, which resulted in a deluge of pink makeup, skin care, and fashion. Her style last night was also true to one of my personal beauty principles: stick to one makeup look at a time. In other words, no bold lips when you're wearing heavy eye makeup.

Below are some of the products that help Lohan achieve her nostalgic look.
