Emily Rutakowski's freckles almost look filtered.
In a world full of AI face filters, any good looks are readily available. Lip fillers? Easy. I don't even need to ask about "thinning eyebrows"! Social media platforms strive to make sure these filters show up, but sometimes it's hard to tell the difference. Emily Ratakowski's latest selfie is a perfect example. I know the freckles on this model are not entirely real, but are they physically there in real life?
On Wednesday, January 10, the 32-year-old posted a selfie to her Instagram story. In the snap, she appears to be lying down in a cozy spot partially covered by a blanket. Her face, on the other hand, is covered with something completely different: a constellation of cute brown freckles across her cheeks and nose, from her forehead to the bridge of her nose.
The Instagram post does not say that a filter was applied, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the markings are not entirely real or made up (makeup artists are so talented that their work works as a filter (Although it's also worth noting that they are very talented). The same day this selfie was posted, Rutakowski was actually spotted freckle-free in New York City.
Does it really matter how the freckles were formed? With his thick eyebrows, long eyelashes, and peachy nude lips, the author of My Body is very cute, but not necessarily so. I'm interested because I love beauty secrets. That freckle, I want one for myself.
