Selena Gomez is back to brunette hair. After joining the honey blonde hair brigade that took late fall by storm (you know something big is happening when Gomez, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian are all involved), the 31-year-old has officially returned home to her classic dark hue.

After showing up at the Golden Globe Awards over the weekend with a slicked-back hairstyle that didn't exactly scream highlights, the Rare Beauty owner confirmed that the gold streaks were gone when she appeared at a Rare Beauty event on Wednesday, January 10. To promote her beauty brand's new Find Comfort Body Collection in Los Angeles, Gomez stepped out in a full white ensemble that allowed her newly cut and colored hair to shine.

Photos taken from the outdoor event show the full extent of Gomez's hair color. Compared to her recent long hair, her new cut is a classic lob, shoulder length, with subtle face-framing layers.

"People are embracing natural hair color-we're getting back to basics," said Mara Roszak, owner of RŌZ Hair Care, when she discussed 2024 color trends with Marie Claire magazine last month. I believe that 2024 will be the year of the hair health journey."

Clearly, this concept is in line with Gomez and Rare Beauty's mission, especially the new body collection; Find Comfort was created to provide a foundation for discovering comfort anywhere. If it means fewer trips to the salon for highlight care, so much the better.
