Lindsay Lohan's comeback is making headlines.

Her first major on-screen appearance in years, "Falling for Christmas," became Netflix's No. 1 movie worldwide. This is not surprising given that it combines everyone's favorite things: LiLo, heart hero Code Overstreet, the holiday season, cheesy romance, and slapstick humor.

Upon hearing the happy news, Lohan took to Instagram to thank fans for making this happen.

"I can't even begin to tell you guys how grateful I am for this incredible moment!"

"I'm just so grateful," Rohan exclaimed in admiration.

"Thank you to all of my fans and to those who have believed in me over the years. My heart is filled with so much love and gratitude ...... Thank you @netflix for bringing this story to life with such an amazing cast, director, producer and crew!"

Fans were as thrilled with the actress as I was, but one commenter wanted more: "Waiting for a Freaky Friday sequel and a Mean Girls sequel!" They wrote.

I mean, I'm not complaining if those two films happen, but I think Lohan deserves a little break, don't you?

Anyway, as for "Freaky Friday," Jamie Lee Curtis recently revealed that he's super on board with filming a sequel, so maybe it's not wishful thinking.

"I've already written to Disney: ...... My friends at Disney, I'm in their new Haunted Mansion movie. I'm 64. ...... So what I'm trying to say is that I'm wide open creatively ...... Come at me!"

Actresses have been in the film for years.

The actress even had an idea for a screenplay.

"Make me a grandma, an old grandma to be replaced, and Lindsay would be a sexy grandma who is still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways that make Mark Harmon happy," she added.

"I want to see Lindsay be a sexy grandma and I want to see me be with my toddler. ...... Today. I'd love to be a helicopter parent as a grandmother in today's world."

She added, "I'd love to be a helicopter parent as a grandmother.

That's upsetting and wonderful.

For Lohan, hit movies are not the only happiness at hand. The star recently wed his girlfriend Bader Shammas. Yay!
