The relationship between Prince Charles and Prince William and Prince Harry is long and "hot and cold."

Tensions between fathers and sons are running hot right now, but Prince Charles and Prince Harry (as well as Prince William) have never had a drama-free relationship. The tension between Prince Charles and Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana, mixed with the monarchy's bizarre family relationships, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, watch season 5 of The Crown on Netflix. But one of the main sources of friction between Prince Charles and his sons over the years has been money, proving that even (and perhaps especially) when there is plenty of it, money remains an issue in the family.

Royal biographers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claim that siblings "can be hot and cold with their father," and in their shocking book Finding Freedom (reported by OK), they specifically They cite the following. According to Scobie and Durand, planning a family photo shoot for Charles' 70th birthday was "an absolute nightmare."

Conversely, with Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepping down as active members of the royal family after January 2020, tensions between Prince Charles and Harry have clearly only increased. If "Spare" is to be an explosive seller, experts believe that Charles may completely disconnect from his younger son, as its contents are completely unknown at this time and are kept under tight lock and key, "OK" reports.

"No matter how carefully Harry shares the parts involving others," Scobie says, "the risk of serious blowback from the institution and the family is very high. A Palace aide recently told me that there is "real fear" among senior officials that the book could do irreparable damage to reputations and relationships. But for Harry, the larger intent [of the book] seems worth the risk."
