Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be "worried" about being "removed from the royal image," biographer says

The royal family has been struggling with the matter ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their intention to leave the United Kingdom in early 2020, ending their roles as senior royals.

While their abdication was occasionally mentioned in official messages, such as the Queen's Christmas speech and the birthday message from the then couple from Cambridge, they were usually excluded from official events since they were no longer active royalty.

It has been widely reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not want to leave royal life altogether and wanted to become "part-time royals" instead, but no such agreement was reached.

So it is reasonable that they may be "worried" about new signs that they are being pushed further out of the royal ranks, as one royal biographer has claimed.

"Harry and Meghan must be worried that they are slowly being removed from the royal image," writer Phil Dampier told The Sun. King Charles seems hesitant about whether to grant Archie and Lilibet the titles of prince and princess."

"And the fact that they are being 'demoted' on the palace website is another indicator that they are not seen as active royalty."

Recall that the Duke and Duchess were demoted on the Royal Family information page, just above the disgraced Prince Andreu. This frankly sends a clear message that Prince Charles is not ready to welcome them into the royal family in the near future.

"The King will want to make it clear that they are not active royalty and cannot pose as semi-official royalty," Dampier adds.

"They have been relegated to the bottom of the league table with the disgraced Prince Andrew and cannot move up the league table at the moment."
