The Royal Family (opens in new tab) is having a nasty technical problem. This weekend, Royal.uk, the official website of the royal family, accidentally sent users to a hardcore pornography website instead of one of the family's charity parties.

"We need details" Of course you do. Naturally, the royal family website has a section on royal charities and patronage (opens in new tab). One of the organizations advertised on that page is the Welsh charity Dren Siml (open in new tab), of which Prince Harry (open in new tab) is a patron.

But somehow, according to reports in the Daily Mail (opens in new tab) and the Mirror (opens in new tab), the link on the royal site did not direct royal fans to Dren's website, but sent users to a Chinese porn page.

Why on earth did this happen? The Daily Mail has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment, but as of Monday morning, no official explanation from Team Royal had been reported. However, as of now, the mistake appears to have been corrected.

Incidentally, the charity at the center of this issue, Dren, was founded in 1985 and, according to its website, works to "bring lasting, positive change to communities in the Kingdom of Lesotho and Wales in southern Africa."
