Princess Beatrice attends a top-secret ceremony wearing Queen Elizabeth's wedding tiara.

This week, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (opens in new tab) pulled off what would normally be totally impossible: a secret royal wedding (opens in new tab).

The couple held a private surprise ceremony on Friday at All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park in front of only 20 guests. Beatrice and Eduardo were originally scheduled to be married on May 29 (open in new tab) in a grand ceremony in front of 150 guests at the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace in London. However, the coronavirus outbreak forced a change of plans, as did many others. The list of invited guests included the Queen, Prince Philip, and Beatrice's father, Prince Andrew.

Beatrice wore a gorgeous vintage wedding dress borrowed from her grandmother, the Queen, for the Secret Garden-themed ceremony (opens in new tab). Beatrice's "Something Borrowed" list also includes her stunning tiara. This tiara holds a special place in Elizabeth's heart, as it was also the tiara she wore at her own wedding in 1947.

This iconic piece originally belonged to Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth's grandmother (and Beatrice's great-grandmother). The British jeweler Garrard & Co. created this stunning piece in 1919, using a diamond necklace that Mary had been given on her own wedding day in 1893.

The Royal Family's official Instagram account (opens in new tab) published two photos of Beatrice wearing a borrowed tiara in honor of her big day.
