Gwyneth Paltrow takes selfie with doppelganger daughter Apple

Listen: I once wrote about how Gwyneth Paltrow and her daughter Apple (opens in new tab) look so much alike, and basically nothing has changed since then. However, I am still utterly amazed at how much they look alike every time I see a picture of them. Paltrow just posted a new selfie of the mother-daughter duo, and as a result, I am compelled to write about this again. Sorry!!! Compulsion! See!

In May, Paltrow posted a series of photos (open in new tab) of Apple to celebrate her 16th birthday. Again, Apple looks just like her mother (and her father, Chris Martin, looks healthy).

Paltrow accompanied the photos with a touching tribute to her daughter." Although I can't believe I am actually writing these words ... Happy sweet 16 year old my darling girl," she wrote. 'You are the light of my heart and a pure joy. You are so intelligent, you have the best sense of humor, you are dry and wonderful. I enjoy being your mother most of all."

"You are the most wonderful mother I have ever had the pleasure of being.

"I love hearing what's on your mind during our nightly chats," Paltrow continued.

"You work hard to get whatever it is you want to accomplish, and you have plenty of grit and a sense of responsibility. I am so lucky to be your mother. Thank you for choosing me. I love you so much that I could fit you to the moon and back."
