Meghan Seastarion opens up on Instagram: "I didn't deserve to be shot."

In an emotional Instagram Live, Megan Seastallion talked about being shot in both legs, opened up about her recovery, and blasted those who try to make jokes about her trauma. Megan was shot multiple times on July 12 and later underwent surgery to remove the bullets. It was "super scary," she said, fighting back tears. [It was] the worst experience of my life, and it's not funny," Megan continued. It's nothing to joke about. It's not something to joke about. I didn't touch anyone. I didn't deserve to be shot. I didn't do anything."

Earlier this month, she spoke briefly about the shooting on Twitter, highlighting the many ways in which black women's pain is ridiculed and belittled. Megan wrote, "Black women are so vulnerable and we carry so much of ourselves without thinking about ourselves to protect the feelings of others."

"It may be laughable and just another troublesome topic on the internet, but this is my real life, and I am real, damaged, and traumatized."

On Instagram Live, Meghan shared details of the wounds she sustained. She said, "Thank God the bullet didn't touch bone. Thank God the bullet didn't touch bone. 'I know my mom and dad and grandma cared about me.

"On a positive note, taking time for myself has made me realize how to move forward and protect my energy. I'm so wonderful.

"Imagine being 25 and not having both of my parents. My mom was my best friend and I still haven't gotten over that. She thanked her fans (Hotties) and friends for their support, adding, "Thank you to the people who are around me, who are actually here for me and are actually my friends."

"Bitch is alive and well and strong as fuck and I want you to know that I am ready to get back to my own hot girl shit and normal programming," Meg finished. "But I definitely learned that I don't have to be nice to every motherfucking body. This is not going to stop me from being nice, it's not going to stop me from being a fucking stallion of Megan Thee who drives a boat and has this good ass energy doing the fucking I want to do. Nothing is going to stop my energy. But what I can't do is keep pouring my energy into you motherfuckers." Megan, we send you our love for your recovery.
