Paris Hilton shares her story of abuse from her teenage years.

Paris Hilton's new documentary, This Is Paris, will premiere on Hilton's YouTube channel on September 14.

In the documentary, the 39-year-old socialite, businesswoman, and DJ reveals that she was abused at Provo Canyon School, a Utah boarding school she attended in the late 1990s.

"I hid the truth about myself for a long time," Hilton told People. 'But I'm proud of the strong woman I've become. But I'm proud of the strong woman I've become.

Hilton told People that before going to boarding school, she lived with her parents at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and often broke their rules.

"It was very easy to sneak out and go to clubs and parties," Hilton recalled.

"My parents were very strict, and I wanted to rebel. They punished me by taking away my cell phone and my credit cards, but it didn't work. I was still going out on my own." So Hilton's parents decided to send her to the Provo school, where she stayed for 11 months.

As soon as she arrived, Hilton had a bad feeling about the school. 'I thought it was a worse school than any of the others,' he said. 'It was supposed to be a school, but [the classes] were not central at all. From the time I woke up to the time I went to bed, they screamed in my face, yelled at me, and tortured me all day long."

She continued: "The staff would say horrible things. They constantly made me feel bad and bullied me. I think their goal was to beat us up. And they physically abused us by beating us and choking us. I think they wanted to instill fear in the children so that they would be too scared to disobey them."

Several of Hilton's classmates appeared in the documentary and reportedly told similar stories of being forcibly drugged and held down with restraints.

This is the trailer for the film, in which she describes the experience as "still giving me nightmares":
