Explaining that her placenta was "weak," she inadvertently referred to her baby as "he," but quickly realized her mistake. She said, "That's kind of weird, because the baby is really healthy. He's so big, I'm sure he's going to have a baby!" She then posted the clip on her Instagram, captioning it, "hahaha might as well tell you."

Teigen detailed the health complications that required bed rest (opens in new tab) and explained that she had experienced them in both of her previous pregnancies." My placenta sucks. It's always kind of been the bad part of my pregnancies," she said. 'With Luna and with Miles, the placenta stopped feeding the placenta and the placenta stopped taking care of the placenta. I was getting bigger and Miles wasn't getting any bigger, so I was stealing all his food. So both Miles and Luna had to come out early.

Teigen said this to reassure other anxious parents. Honestly, if there is bleeding, it's probably just spotting. In any case, consult your doctor and be sure to let him or her know if you are bleeding."

"But I don't want this to send you into a crazy spiral, as it will if I hear it. A petechial hemorrhage is a petechial hemorrhage, and it's nothing like what I'm experiencing, which is a lot of blood spurting out. You would know the difference."
