Tragic lovers Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love were the poster children for this era. But it was Marc Jacobs who gave grunge music the backing of the fashion industry. Marc Jacobs has much to say about this shoe brand. He says, "Dr. Martens has long been a symbol of individuality and counterculture.
