The relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry is reportedly at "rock bottom."
Prince William and Prince Harry (opens in new tab) reportedly exchanged emails following Harry and Meghan Markle's explosive interview on Oprah (opens in new tab), but the brothers' relationship is reportedly very strained.
William and Harry are scheduled to unveil a statue of Princess Diana that they commissioned at Kensington Palace in July, but it is currently unclear if they will appear at the event together. William and Harry are as far apart emotionally and physically as possible," a source told The Sun (opens in new tab). 'Their relationship is at rock bottom. William is furious with Harry after Oprah's interview."
The source went on to say that William is "so angry with him that it is now completely unthinkable that they will have a happy reunion and stand together at the unveiling of Princess Diana's statue. It will take a great deal of effort to repair the situation so that they can appear united."
Regarding the unveiling ceremony (which will take place at Kensington Palace on July 1), a source said, "William will not say he is not welcome at Harry's. This is their mother. They commissioned the statue together for their mother, so it would be unfair to say that he doesn't want Harry there. It is a leap to think that they would only talk about the statue. They should have a sibling-like conversation. They should be given time to talk."
This may not be the first time that Prince William and Prince Harry will meet. Prince Harry is hoping to return to England for "Trooping the Colour" (open in new tab) and Prince Philip's (open in new tab) 100th birthday on June 12. And he hopes that the royals will hold Queen Meghan accountable for the treatment she received while in the royal palace (opens in new tab).
