Hilary Duff Shares Gorgeous Pregnancy Photos Ahead of Due Date

Hilary Duff revealed that she is eagerly awaiting the birth of her third child, revealing a stunning pregnancy photoshoot on Instagram on Sunday. In the photo, taken by photographer Laura Moll, she poses on the lawn in a silky one-shoulder gown, while her dress is a dusty shade of pink that complements her teal hair. From the looks of it, this photo was taken the same day as the baby shower she shared in an Instagram video (opens in new tab) last week.

"Hey baby, I love you so much! I want to hold you in my arms!" Duff captioned the post. The long-awaited baby will be a brother and sister to daughter Banks, her first child with husband Matthew Coma, and son Luca, her son with ex Mike Comrie. Photos can be seen here (opens in new tab) and from the mall account here (opens in new tab).

Duff appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last week and spoke about a painful late pregnancy symptom she is experiencing: the "lightning crotch." Revealing that her third child is due "any day now," Duff told guest host Brooke Baldwin, "I sent a text to my midwife the other day and I was like, 'What about the stabbing pain in my vagina?' I'm not feeling this."

"It feels awful, like being struck by lightning!" Duff said. (Open in new tab) "And she wrote back and was like, "Oh, lightning crotch," like it wasn't a big deal. I was like, 'This is pretty traumatic.'"

"All of a sudden the lightning would strike and my body would double over and then disappear," she added.

According to Health (open in new tab), lightning crotch is "caused by changes in the pubic symphysis (the joint between the right and left pubic bones). When the hormone relaxin is released, "the pubic symphysis separates in preparation for childbirth, and this separation actually causes pain." In other words, what Duff is experiencing, while extremely uncomfortable, is not a sign of danger.
