Prince Harry, Meghan and Princess Meghan reportedly planning to travel to England without their children.

A health emergency is something that puts all other family drama into perspective. After months of speculation about whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will make a triumphant return to the UK for their daughter Lilibet's christening, Harry may be on his own sooner rather than later.

Before the Queen's overnight visit to King Edward VII Hospital on October 20, the christening was thought to be the most likely occasion (if it ever happened) for Harry, Meghan, and their children to reunite with the rest of the royal family. First, sources said that the christening would definitely take place in Windsor and that the Queen would definitely attend. Then, the christening ended up taking place in Santa Barbara (probably because Prince William vetoed the Windsor idea), and it was unclear when the family would venture across the pond.

However, a source told OK! Magazine that talk of a christening has been on the back burner since the Queen was hospitalized last month. After doctors told the Queen to take it easy and refrain from royal duties for the time being, and she cancelled her attendance at COP26 in Scotland, opting instead to send the royal "Fab Four," Harry went into panic mode and began planning his visit, drama or no drama! It is reported that he was "in the middle of it all." ("(Harry) has kept in touch with her, sending messages and care packages," they explained.

"But he feels that is not enough and wants to be by her side."

Markle, who has had his ups and downs with the royal family and especially the British tabloids, has reportedly stated that he has no intention of returning in the immediate future. According to this source, Harry "respects [it], even if it means not traveling with her and the children."

"He fears he may not have another opportunity to celebrate the holidays with the Queen. Despite his frustration with the royal family, he dotes on his grandmother and misses her very much," the source said.

While it will be sad for Harry not to spend Lilibet's first Christmas with her, it makes sense that he would want to be with the Queen while he has health issues.
