Ellen DeGeneres made Meghan Markle say, "I have healing powers.
Meghan Markle appeared on "The Ellen Show" on November 18, and not only did she talk about her life, but the Duchess of Sussex was asked to complete a rather embarrassing challenge, which she did her best to masterfully.
Ellen DeGeneres had Markle go out to the studio grounds where the stalls were set up and do everything she was instructed to do through an earpiece. First, she sent the Duchess's "assistant" - actually a writer for the show - to warn the stall holders that Markle was coming to browse and told them to treat her perfectly normally.
Then Markle walked up to the stall and repeatedly reiterated that it was a "lovely day." When she reached the stall, she had to say, "As Bill Weathers would say, a lovely day."
She then went to the crystal stall and said, "I haven't shopped for a while, but I love it, I miss it." She also desperately repeated "good energy," then said, "I have healing powers. Can you feel my power?" The poor seller then nodded, looking completely confused. Markle took a deep breath as she continued, "I can feel your power. She then placed a large crystal on her head and began a strange chant, narrating.
The whole segment lasted about seven minutes, and she had to keep at it. For example, at the next stall (which sold hot sauce) she had to tell the vendor that "Boo" loved hot sauce. I have never heard Prince Harry called that.
If I were in Markle's shoes, I would have absolutely died of embarrassment, but the Duchess showed her acting talent brilliantly and completed this difficult task with grace and humor. You will love watching it. You can watch it here.
