Britney Spears and Sam Asgari kiss sweetly by the Christmas tree

Back in 2000, Britney Spears' "Only Wish" was "Someone to love me, someone to hug me" at Christmas. Twenty-one years later, it seems Santa has delivered.

The star and her new fiancé Sam Asgari recorded a short video of them cuddling up to each other in front of the Christmas tree and sharing a very fleeting kiss on the lips. On Instagram, Spears captioned the post with three lipstick kiss emojis, and Asgari commented, "That was a fleeting kiss."

As expected, not everyone shared the couple's holiday spirit. One fan wrote: "You can do better than that!"

he wrote. Asgari, however, was not intimidated and simply replied, "I agree." You could do a lot worse than someone with a sense of humor.

Spears and Asgari met while filming a music video in 2016 and were able to get engaged this year as Spears' conservatorship slowly loosened. Now that the conservatorship has ended, the two are free to marry and possibly have children together (Spears has two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline).

Last week, Spears posted a black-and-white image on Instagram of a child's feet standing on tiptoes, saying, "I'm thinking of having another baby ! I wonder if this baby is a girl ...... She's standing on her toes and reaching for something ...... No doubt about it!!!"

The necessary conversation seems to have taken place and Asgari replies, "I hope she has great calves like that! That gene will not come from me.

From now on, only good things for Britney Spears, please.
